KUWK Travels: Illinois [May 2016]

Ben and I spent last weekend in Illinois celebrating Lucas and Sarah’s graduations. It was filled with early mornings, two sets of graduation ceremonies, learning how to walk through grass and mini hills in my trusted lace-ups, and learning that I absolutely need a pair of wedged ones if I’m ever going to do that again. We topped it off with late night trips to D.P. Dough, and insomnia cookies because those drunk calories were ABSOLUTELY necessary. Don’t try to convince me otherwise.

Our weekends in Illinois always end too quickly. I blame that on the fact that for most of it we’re so busy city-hopping while we’re there. Luckily, the time is packed with family, good food, and laughs so I can’t complain. It’s also a nice quick break from our usual Florida routines, which can be refreshing.
