Sometimes I’m just in the mood for really good BBQ.
The savory rubs, the tangy sauces. Seriously crave-worthy. If you’re nodding your head and picturing the last plate of ribs you had then you’re in for a treat. Ford’s Garage rolled out a limited time BBQ menu and let me tell you – it’ll cure those cravings.
For me, Ford’s Garage is categorized as a burger place by default. It’s just what I think of whenever I think of Ford’s and for good reason. Their burger creations are pretty epic and come served branded with the Ford’s Garage logo on them.

What’s cool about this BBQ menu is that it gives Ford’s Garage the perfect opportunity to show you what it can do in its own cookout corner.
I was invited out to try the limited time menu (which runs through 10/3 btw) and you guys – it was impressive.
For appetizers, Ben wanted to try the BBQ bacon shrimp. I was a little hesitant because I really don’t venture out food wise with shrimp unless it’s in a ring with cocktail sauce. These bacon wrapped babes paired surprisingly well with the mango salsa though.

I had to order the giant funnel tower of jumbo piston onion rings. Could those SOUND any more Instagram worthy? The chipotle ketchup was sweet and smokey paired with each bite of these crispy onion rings. Luckily for me (and you) these are always available on the Ford’s menu.
Sipping on my Blinker mocktail had me wondering what I was actually in the mood for entree wise.
The speed platters sounded awesome – like one big bbq charcuterie board, but I couldn’t get over the thought of the sweet heat burger. Like I mentioned before, I knew Ford’s for their burgers and this one sounded so good.
Ben opted for the three speed platter which secured my decision to go the burger route. Clearly a win win for the table because it was going to be the best of both worlds.

The sweet heat burger packed some spice and some sweetness from the candied pork belly. It was honestly delicious, I’d even go as far to say that Ford’s should keep this one on the main menu.
Sticking with the meaty theme, the 3-speed platter did not mess around. Well, to be fair. It was a little messy, BUT in the best way thanks to the baby back ribs. My fingers were covered in sauce, but I was a happy gal with each bite I took.
