Tomorrow Ben and I will be heading out on the road and driving up to Nashville, Tennessee for this year’s CMA Fest! It’s crazy to think that I [*very impulsively*] bought these tickets a year ago and the festival is finally here. As you can probably imagine, I’m trying to figure out every possible outfit option that I can fit into my suitcase. Three things are certain when it comes to CMA Fest: the days are long and hot. The streets of downtown Nashville will be packed. And it’s going to be a BLAST.
The country music festival literally runs all day, which means outfits that go from day to night are an absolute must. It’s required that my phone is charged and STAYS charged (this case will keep me charged on the go). Most important of all are these two words: comfortable shoes.
No two festivals are the same, but the packing mentality is all similar. You want to be prepared, look trendy (& comfortable), and make the experience as stress free as possible. This is why I’m sharing my CMA Fest packing guide with y’all! Whether you’re also packing for CMA Fest this week, or if you have another festival coming up this summer – you can use this guide to make sure you’re festival-ready.
This is going to be our first CMA Fest and it’s a little ridiculous how excited I am. I already have my list of must-sees, and must (try to) meet artists. Wednesday night we’ll be attending the CMT Music Awards, and I’m sure that’ll be an experience all on its own. Follow along on the adventure via snapchat: kahlas – it’s sure to be a star-studded entertaining one.

Tops:
Basics are your BFFs here, especially in the tank top family. They’re easy to mix and match with multiple types of bottoms and pit stains will be a problem of the past. Off the shoulder options are also nice for an easy, breezy, stay-cool look.
Dresses/Rompers/Bottoms:
Rompers win, always. I can’t help it. They’re cute and functional especially when you need an easy transitional outfit. Dress it up with cute sandals, or down with your favorite Birks. If you want to go country-esque, break out your boots!
Shoes:
Birkenstocks are the comfiest shoes I’ve owned, hands down – more specially: this style. If you don’t have on comfy shoes, it can really put a damper on the whole “having fun at CMA Fest” thing. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Accessories/Bags/Other:
If you didn’t think I was bringing my favorite hat to CMA Fest, then you must not know me at all. Hello, it’s the cutest lifesaver for second (or third!) day hair. Also, I’ll be sporting this fanny pack the entire time. It’s perfect to hold my phone, chapstick, money, and any other essential needed throughout the day. If I didn’t already swear by this case, I’d be ordering one of these cute portable chargers.
