Ben and I kicked off the weekend with date night at Bartaco in Hyde Park on Friday. I finally got to try their spicy watermelon margarita, and (thanks to @tampabayeatsout’s instagram) had a taste of the secret lobster taco that they’re currently offering. Hashtag NOM-AZING. Seriously guys, I’m a chicken taco person through and through, but this lobster situation is a must try.

Love an outfit that can take me from the office to date night |
When we arrived at Bartaco there was a bit of a wait, so we decided to knock something off of our wedding to-do list to kill some time: booking Sprinkles cupcakes. We walked to their shop and put in our catering order for our wedding in November. Our dessert table will now feature a variety of their mini cupcakes!
My snapchat friends know that the most exciting thing that happened this weekend was that I finally bought an espresso machine. Lattes for days over here. There was an amazing deal on this espresso machine + milk frother. I can even tell it to start brewing a cup straight from my phone. What a time to be alive.
Against my bank account’s better judgement, I went shopping on Saturday with some friends. We hit a boutique, and then International Mall where the inevitable happened: Nordstrom struck again. I picked up this dress (comes in 6 colors!), this crossbody bag, and this tote bag. For real this time guys, I am done. shopping.

I finally went to a Painting with a Twist class this weekend! For those that don’t know what PWAT is, it’s a class where an instructor walks you through painting a picture. The “twist” is that you get to bring your own wine and snacks to enjoy while taking the class. It makes for a pretty grade A weekend activity. Typically PWAT is a group outing, however I went by myself. A blog post on that experience accompanied by the importance of knowing that it’s OK to do things on your own will be coming later this week. In the meantime, look at how cute this painting turned out:
Definitely hanging this in my office at work, along with this marble clock that I picked up. Gallery wall, engage.
Ben and I started watching The Night Of this weekend. It’s a new series on HBO. I don’t want to give anything away other than if you enjoy crime shows that leave you guessing and trying to piece together information (which is basically all of them LOL), then you’ll love this one. So far, there are only two episodes ready to watch on HBO. Need more immediately. Has anyone else started watching this?
