Friday night we had two parties to go to, and do you want to guess how many we actually ended up at? Zero, because I was super sick. Like the kind of sick where I couldn’t move. Ben and I ended up having a night in with some Greek food and a movie. Our viewing of choice? Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Although a night in wasn’t our first choice, I appreciated it. It was nice to slow down for a little bit and enjoy some couch time with Ben, even if I wasn’t feeling the greatest.
My fanny pack arrived that I ordered from Etsy. I know what you’re thinking. A fanny pack, Kahla? What are you, 70? I’m here to tell you that I’m 25 and I’M OBSESSED WITH IT. It’s been on my wish list ever since I started thinking about how inconvenient it was going to be carrying around a bag at CMA Fest next month. If that makes me 70, then fine. At least I’ll be hands free. #hiphugger
Ya girl finally got her hair did. Fresh layers and a fresh ombre – there’s nothing quite like it. Also, my hairstylist discovered my middle part that’s apparently always been there. I’ve just been too busy being comfortable with my side part to notice. It’s a look I’ve been rocking since Saturday, and I’m kind of loving it.
I bought Jason Isbell tickets for Ben for his birthday (his idea!). Also, his idea to have this included as a weekend win. I’ll put it this way: I’m excited, because he’s excited.
A group of us hosted our very own bar crawl on Saturday down the strip of Clearwater Beach in honor of the Preakness Stakes! Also to hit a bunch of bars to drink – but that two minute horse race was the real reason we were there for 9 hours. Clearly.
Ben and I drove all the way down to the Tradewinds Resort on St. Pete Beach to get our $20 back from them. This might not make much sense to everyone as to why this is listed as a weekend win, but to the few that know the full story it very much is. You can count on the fact that there will be a future blog post on the importance of not making drunk decisions, more specifically: why you should never sign up for a Tradewinds tour while drunk at a Dollar Night. We’ll call that one a lesson learned.
Final weekend win? Three words: Criminal Minds marathon.
How was your weekend?
Although this place is probably not cheap, but they are centrally located, have fabulous staff and delicious food, and most importantly, the best views of the city. I would definitely recommend these Chicago venues for any kind of fancy event – all my friends talked about throwing parties here only.
Who is your hair stylist?!
It's a lady named Veronica in Pinellas Park. I can send you her info if you want. She's the one person I've trusted with my hair for the past few years. ☺️
Thanks for the recommendation. 🙂
Yes please 🙂 my friend was looking for a hair stylist and yours always looks great, so id definitely suggest her! Haha plus my friends hair is very similar to yours IMO
