I’m a girl that can appreciate a good Crafturday.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner (and conveniently on a Sunday this year) you have every excuse to get down and crafty to show your guy just how creative you can be with men’s t-shirts and boxers. Make him a bouquet of comfort.
What you’ll need:
- Basket
- Styrofoam
- Wooden sticks
- Green fabric
- Hot glue gun & glue
- Scissors
- Clear scotch tape
- 1 or 2 packs of men’s boxers (sub briefs he likes those better!)
- 1 or 2 packs of men’s t-shirts
- V-Day decor to pretty it up (hello, Target dollar section!)
How you’ll do it:
Start with your wooden sticks and green fabric. These will form your “stems” in your bouquet of comfort. Cut each fabric piece so that it’ll completely wrap around each wooden stick. The easiest way to ensure this happens is to wrap the fabric completely around the stick and cut along the outside flap. Hot glue your green fabric to the wooden stick. Repeat until you have enough “stems”. Let dry.
Roll t-shirts and pairs of boxers up so that you’re able to insert each “stem” into the opening at the bottom. You’ve now created your “comfort roses”. Use a piece of clear tape to secure each one from unraveling.
Place your styrofoam into the bottom of the basket you’ll be using to display your bouquet de comfort (French is the language of love, people). The styrofoam doesn’t need to be pretty. The most important part of this step is just to ensure that you have something to secure your stems into. Poke each stem into the styrofoam. Use extra t-shirts and pairs of boxers to cover up the styrofoam eyesore. This’ll also make your basket look fuller and help the stems stand up.
Decorate it with any and all Valentine’s Day decor that you want to. I bought an “I love you” balloon, and lots of red garland with hearts – perfectly V-Day themed. Most of the decorative items were found in the Target dollar section AKA you’re totally welcome for the perfect excuse to venture into there now.
