You may not know this about me, but I’m a snack girl through and through. When I made the decision a few years back to work towards a more balanced and healthy-ish lifestyle, I started incorporating more snack times between meals throughout my day. It might seem a little counterproductive to be a pro-snacker, but it’s actually a great way to keep your metabolism boosted and energy levels up. The key? Keeping your snacks healthy and straightforward.
When snack time hits, I need my options to be quick and easy. Like “hit that easy button” kind of easy. It may surprise you to know that easy, simple, and healthy can all coincide when it comes to snack choices. It just takes finding snack staples that you’ll actually look forward to eating throughout the day.
A snack that I’ve recently rotated into my lineup is Chobani® Less Sugar Greek Yogurt. I’m a big fan of Chobani® Greek Yogurt. I use their plain Greek yogurt all the time as a substitute for various things (sour cream, tzatziki sauce, etc.). When I saw their assortment of Greek Yogurt goodness with 50% less sugar* than other yogurts was now at Walmart, I was excited to give it a try. Today on Keeping Up with Kahla, I’m sharing my go-to snacks that I swap in and out on my daily meal menu. These keep my snack times running super smooth while satisfying my cravings.
Mixed nuts. I love mixed nuts when I’m in the mood for something crunchy. Usually I spring for the bags of mixed nuts that are lightly salted or unsalted.
Granola. Granola is easy to swap in as a snack when you’re looking for something sweet and crunchy. I could eat handfuls of this stuff.
Chobani® Less Sugar* Greek Yogurt. As you know from above, I’m hooked on these things. I’m SUPER into Greek yogurt as a snack. Bananas and powdered peanut butter. I love stacking two slices of banana with powdered peanut butter mix in the middle. Or ya know, just scooping my powdered peanut butter mix onto each banana bite. Either way its delicious.
Avocados with hot sauce and seasoning. Crack open an avocado and deck it out with spices for whatever mood you’re in. I add hot sauce for some spice and a super savory seasoning.
All of these snacks are easy peasy to take along with you to work, or to munch on during the day at home. It’s essential to keep your go-to snacks simple to help keep you on track. Ain’t nobody got time for complications, especially when they’re hangry for snack time.
