We finally have an expected delivery date for our black mailing labels that we ordered for our Save the Dates. This may not seem like it’s a big deal, but for us, it is. A couple of weekends ago, we had every intention of knocking out some of our Save the Dates with our very own dream team (AKA my mom, grandma, sister, Ben, and I). Addresses would be collected, Save the Dates would be addressed, and these babies would be on their way out to the mail.
PSYCH.
After writing out a few, we realized that we actually have horrendous handwriting. Who knew? This led to the printing address labels idea. Because our Save the Dates are brown and black, I thought a white mailing label would look tacky. Luckily, my mom found the black ones online. These should be here by Thursday.
Since that weekend, I’ve been busy collecting addresses. Did I mention that our invitee list is now over 200? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN. I still have no idea. Our 170 invitees with an assumed 150 shows has now become 200+ invitees with an assumed 170 shows. It’s crazy, but the good kind of crazy. What’s that saying? The more the merrier? It’s gon’ get real merry. And MARRIED.
I continuously check things off in my wedding planner (Erin Condren is literally my best friend). From the looks of our checklists, we’re still ahead of the game. Phew.
A brief, and more broad status update:
- Our DJ is booked.
- The deposit was received by our rustic items rental company that we’re using, so now some decor is taken care of without us having to buy it and store it.
- Engagement photos are sorted. Now we just need to edit, and add them to our wedding website – must be done before the Save the Dates go out since our website link is on them.
- Bridesmaids dresses are picked out, and just need to be ordered. Of course all sizes aren’t all readily available, so this one is a waiting game right now.
- The Bachelorette Party is somewhat in the works (Ben’s bachelor party is already planned – HI BRYCE!)
