I’m happy to say I checked off some things on my hashtag NSale wishlist, however not all. My closet is crying, my bank account is not. All hope is not lost, because I did find some great substitutes to make up for those few items that I just can’t seem to catch in my size. Marc New York, I’m looking at you.
Like some kind of shopaholic, I woke up to my 3AM alarm, credit card in hand when the Nordies sale went public last Friday. I purchased the Freebird booties in cognac, as well as the BP Trotts in both black and chocolate. Neutral bootie bases officially covered for fall? Check, check, and check.
All three pairs arrived today. At first glance the Freebirds are a little edgier than they looked online. Since I kind of already love them too much to return, I’ll be doing some serious Pinterest searching for inspo on how to style them. I’m thinking they’ll be perfect for our trip to Nashville next week.
I think it goes without saying that the Trotts were everyone’s favorite item from the NSale, me included. Call it a lucky guess – or just an observation of how literally every color has been sold out at one point or another. The taupe color has literally gone MIA, which is a seriously SERIOUSLY sore subject.
Moving on…
In-store buys were also a mini victory:
- This Painted Threads black and grey tribal poncho sweater – it literally feels like I’m wearing a fashionable blanket. THAT comfy.
- This BP long sleeve striped shirt in ivory/egret, and
- Two (for $28, yeeee) of the softest BP tank tops I’ve ever felt in my life in black and white bc when it comes to layering tanks, you can never have too many.
Although Florida doesn’t get much of a fall, it’s safe to say that thanks to the NSale I’m prepared to dress up and pretend like we do. Bring on the slightly cooler weather.
