Summer is so close that I can almost taste it. A good indicator is the continuous afternoon storms that hit Florida each day. With the unbearable heat around the corner, I’ll be reaching for all things light and airy when it comes to clothes. Sleeveless preferred, of course. Cue this lace up chambray shift dress from Tobi.
I’m obsessed with how light the fabric of this dress is. It doesn’t stick to you in any way and it’s incredibly breathable. The back of it is completely open and I love the lace up front. I could definitely see this dress doubling as a coverup for pool parties or beach days as well. It would be perfect to throw on before strolling through a weekend farmer’s market because it’s that easy to just put on and go.
It’s a fact that Tobi nails it with basic summer pieces and this dress is no exception. Let me also remind you of this peach bodysuit.
When styling, I went pretty casual with this dress. I think my top knot is the biggest statement made here LOL. These moccasins are a long time favorite. They’re pretty worn in, but I love them as an option for when I just want to kick it (or if I didn’t have time to get a pedicure). My mocs are one of the comfiest pairs of shoes that I own. The price point for these is under $50 and these shoes come in multiple colors.
Since this chambray dress is light and neutral, I decided it’d be fun to pair it with this pink tassel bag. Unfortunately this bag is sold out online, but I’m linking some similar ones. I’m no stranger to adding a poppy accessory to simple outfits, I actually think it’s necessary. When an outfit gives you a chance to add a statement or colorful accessory, you take it.
Ben and I leave for our friends’ bachelor and bachelorette cruise tomorrow – we can’t wait! It’ll be a joy to get somewhere sunny with a vodka club in hand, and no worries to stress about. I’m sure my Instagram feed will soon be flooded with tropical pictures. Make sure you’re following along for the latest. I’ll be posting when I can.
What are your plans for this weekend?
