Loving: I’m refraining from saying these slides so someone doesn’t reach through their computer screen and slap me saying “WE GET IT KAHLA! YOU LOVE THEM.” Instead, I’ll say these over the knee boots that (let’s be honest) I’ll probably only get to wear one time this year. Ya know, because Florida. But they’re still just gorgeous in person and their my first pair of OTKs so excuse me for being excited.
Feeling: READY FOR VACAY. Ben and I are heading on vacation next week! It’ll be the first one this with just us two, so the quality time will be nice. We’re staycationing at the Opal Sands on Clearwater Beach. I’m really looking forward to the sun, sand, and some much needed down time.
Watching: We just wrapped up Friends From College and loved it. It’s a short series with only eight episodes so far. I feel like I related to each one of the characters at some point – which are all hilarious by the way. After flying through those episodes, Ben and I picked up Ozark on Netflix starring Jason Bateman. We’re three episodes deep and I’m hooked, but I can’t tell if it’s because I love Jason Bateman or if the show is actually that good. Hoping both.
Listening to: Bleachers! Are you a fan? I am so pumped because we bought tickets to see them when they come to St. Pete in September. I’ve never seen them live, but I’ve been a fan of their music for a couple of years now. This is way overdue.
Eating: Ben and I have been trying out Blue Apron for the past two weeks. Our friends Aaron and Jenny gave us a code to get our first week of meals free and it went surprisingly well. While cooking the meals there are a ton of dishes used, and a lot of prep time but the end results for dinner were actually pretty tasty. I accidentally cancelled too late to opt out for Blue Apron to charge us for a second week, so we got looped into another round of meals. I reached out to their customer service about it to explain what happened and they were incredibly helpful. They refunded me my money after I explained the situation, but since our second week of meals had already been shipped out we were still getting them either way. No complaints here. Ben and I were happy to try another few meals from them, especially for free.
Recommending: I’ve had a handful of cool collaborations come through Keeping Up with Kahla recently, and one of them was with the company Yes To. I had the opportunity to try out a few of their products, and I can’t say enough great things about this grapefruit single use mud mask. It helps brighten up your skin while minimizing pores. I’m also a fan of their charcoal mud mask which helps remove impurities from your skin. I can’t wait to try out the rest of what they’ve sent me and tell you guys alllllll about it.
What have you all been up to recently? Let me know in the comments.
