Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame seasoning has easily become a spice cabinet favorite for me. It’s a seasoning blend made up of sea salt, garlic, onion, poppy seeds, and sesame seeds (both black and white). In between insta-storying about how much I love it and trying not to eat it straight out of the container, I’ve been making an effort to use it on various foods. When it first joined our kitchen lineup – I took to Instagram to ask you all for recommendations of what you use EBTBS seasoning on. Most of you suggested eggs and avocado toast.
Been there, done that and it was FANTASTIC. You guys were spot on with those recs.
I’ve also been doing some tasty research on my own to see just what EBTBS seasoning can do to other foods. Isn’t food research the best kind of research? Here’s a list of food that I’ve found can easily be enhanced with Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame seasoning (and some that are on my short list to try). You’re welcome.
- Eggs
- Avocado toast
- Avocados themselves
- Salads
- Carrots. Any veggie snack, really.
- Bagels. Especially the bottom half of an everything bagel (super helpful if you’re going halvesies with someone who sticks you with the bottom half)
- Canned tuna fish
- Homemade potato chips
- Burgers
- Salmon
- Steak
- Homemade pizza crust
