I can’t really remember how I came across Aaron Parker. He doesn’t have anything released on Spotify. There isn’t a hint of him on iTunes. What I do remember is finding his song She’ll Always be that Night and having to play it over and over and over again. A tweet of the lyrics was also completely necessary. Sue me, I love it.
Fast forward to a few days ago when I came across his Soundcloud and found he had a few other songs to listen to. For as much as I loved SABTN, it’s safe to say that he delivers with his other Soundcloud releases: Heaven On Wheels, Dust and Diesel, and even a cover of Eric Church’s Like Jesus Does. *swoon*
Aaron is compared to the slew of 90s country music that we all know and love. Upon listening to his music, I have to agree with the comparison. It’s the perfect combination of feel good and nostalgia. While I do love a good bro country song, I have to say that Aaron’s music is opposite of that and it’s refreshing. There’s something about it that is SO needed on country radio today.
An EP has been released exclusively to fan club members (where do I sign up!?) and is noted to be on its way to other music services soon. Until then, you can find me with a second tab open, continuously racking up those plays on his Soundcloud page.
