A couple of weeks ago I had two straight days of not wanting to do ANYTHING. I was mentally and physically drained – my mind and body just needed a break. When I have days like that I know the best thing I can do for myself is to lean into them. Usually it means I’ve been pushing myself too hard, my anxiety is at its peak, or I’m just having an off day. There’s no way I can be productive when I’m in that state – no matter how hard I try to convince myself otherwise.
The cure was to watch a few ~feel good~ movies. All accompanied by my weighted blanket, Nash, and Ben of course.
Somehow feel good movies just have a way of reeling me back in. That’s the point of them right? I’m sure you know the ones I’m talking about: happy soundtracks, perfect lighting, usually based in a hustling, bustling city or small town covering some form of love story or wanderlust plot line. Yeah, those are the ones.
I know I’m not alone in having days like these. For the next time you’re having an off day or just feel the need to be a total couch potato…
Here’s a list of some of my favorite feel good movies:
- How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
