As much as I love having an elliptical at home, there is a speal place in my heart for a good ole bike ride for cardio.
Luckily for me, Pinellas County offers a plethora of bike trails to enjoy. Doubly luckily for me, they all seem to lead to some of my favorite cities. Wheels turning, hand on the grips and in the breezy Florida sunshine. You can’t really beat cruising around in a sunny and 75 day before summer’s wrath hits. My new favorite question for Ben anytime we go somewhere lately is “can we bike there?”

After years of hand me down bikes, I knew that 2023 would be the year I would pick out my own.
My in-laws were kind enough to gift me money towards a new bike for Christmas. That gift and my job’s wellness stipend set me up perfectly for a new bike purchase. Running on reviews and aesthetics, I took a gamble and committed to a Priority bike, My white Priority Coast beach cruiser has proven to be a welcome addition to my outdoor workout options. She’s diamond-style and seven speed, although I’m not sure I’ll ever use them all. From Dunedin to Clearwater Beach and beyond – I’m enjoying adding on the miles to this one.
Today on the blog I’m sharing a few places that I love biking to and the trails I take to get there.
Most of you might be familiar with these trails, but I’m still a newbie on wheels to them. Pinellas County definitely has its fair share of trails and bike friendly cities to ride in. I’m so happy that I have the option to hop on a trail, cruise freely and enjoy them.

Here are the bike trails you can likely find me on IN PINELLAS COUNTY when I ride on the weekends:
+ If I’m feeling a day of bouncing around Safety Harbor, catch me on the Ream Wilson Trail to get there. (from the Druid Trail, to Duke Energy Trail then Ream Wilson Trail)
+ The Pinellas Trail leads me right into one of my favorite cities. Can you guess which one? It’s obviously Dunedin. (from Druid Trail to Pinellas Trail)
+ I’m a Florida girl at heart and we know I love a beach. Heck it’s in my bike’s name. Shoutout to the Druid Trail which gets me almost all the way to Clearwater Beach. Or, at least to the Pinellas Trail then to the Memorial Causeway where I really get my heart rate workin’ before I spend the day in the sun, sand and near the water.
