I discover a new spot almost every time I visit Downtown Dunedin.
Whether it be a brewery, a restaurant, a shop – you name it and it’s there to uncover. Now that I think about it, maybe that’s why I love the home of orange illustrations so much. Almost every visit can be driven by what you already know and love or you can just let the day carry you to a spot you didn’t even know existed. It’s like a choose your own destiny video game in a cool city.
Recently I found myself at three completely new-to-me places in Dunedin.
Now that’s a lot of new new for me to indulge in on a single trip. If you’ve been following me for a while then you know that I have my staples in Dunedin. Typically Ben and I will venture to one new spot before heading to a place we know and love. Intentionally making a day out of visiting three completely new spots for the first time is a rarity, but it’s a welcome one.
Two of the places I’m sharing with you today are restaurants and one is a brewery. This list serves as a stellar agenda for any upcoming visit to Downtown Dunedin. Orange you glad you stumbled across this post? Let’s get to sharing!

Clear Sky Draught Haus
Ben and I LOVE the Clear Sky lineup in Tampa Bay and the Draught Haus is no exception. Considering the amount of times I’ve been to Dunedin, it’s wild that it took me this long to check this Clear Sky location off of my list. Now it’s not located in the heart of downtown (more on the outskirts), but it’s a nice kickoff to the day before walking down to the main strip.
Do yourself a favor and don’t wait to check out Draught Haus like I did. Go for brunch and try the lobster bennie – it’s outta bounds.
Caledonia Brewing
Dunedin is home to my favorite lineup of breweries and it looks like Caledonia is joining my list. Caledonia Brewing serves up a laid back atmosphere with games to enjoy while you sip on suds. Ben and I played tic tac toe and put our 80’s/90’s trivia knowledge to the test. Of course we made drinking games out of both of them because why not?

The Duneatery
Tucked away in the back corner of Woodwright Brewery is the tiny gem that is The Duneatery. Obsess over the name with me!!! The Duneatery serves up a variety of dishes for meat lovers and veggie friends alike. I particularly love their mushroom melt because the mushrooms are spruced up with rosemary then bundled between two slices of turmeric sourdough bread. A whole veggie dream and we love to see it. You can even grab drinks at Woodwright while you wait for your food.
